Anchor Steam Big Leaf Maple Autumn Red
There are layers of flavor in this brew. A wonderful balance of the malt & hops with just a touch of sweetness from the maple syrup.
This was a great buy at just $2 USD for a bottle.
Very refreshing. Highly recommended.
This is pretty much my all around favorite beer. Certainly in the top 3.
All the goodness of Guinness with hops added.
At 7.5% ABV this is a powerful beer packed with flavor.
It has a beautiful balance between the roasted malt and the hops.
Superb! Highly recommended.
Shiner White Wing Belgian White
It’s a bit much with the yeast and coriander. Just a touch of orange.
Nice to have with fish.
It’s not a bad example of the style.
21st Amendment Sneak Attack
This is a farmhouse Saison ale brewed with cardamom.
The beer has a light cloudy color and it has a floral spice flavor.
Came in a can. Very nice beer although I wouldn’t have more than one at a time because of the big powerful flavors.
It’s different. Give it a try.

It’s a popular bar along a shopping strip right by the Long Island railroad.
It was crowded and it’s easy to see why. They have a great selection of beers.
You can choose from 16 taps which are displayed on a HDTV. It tells you the brands and how much is left in each keg. They also have Cask ale.
Food is served. We tried the meatball appetizer. It was good.
When the weather allows it the front glass panels are folded back and you have open air seating to the sidewalk.
Good vibe and it’s a great place to have a pint.

Blue Point Brewing Blueberry Ale
A golden ale with a marvelous taste of blueberries. Very nice balance. The blueberry flavor is not overpowering.
Recommended.
Long Trail Brush & Barrel Series Culmination
A 9.30% ale brewed with cacao nibs.
Absolutely delicious.
A dark black ale with just enough of the chocolate coming through without overpowering this strong brew.
Superb. Buy it if you can find it.
Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale
An old-time brewery that makes some great beers.
Not too much to say about this. It has all the characteristics of a nut-brown ale. Easy drinking. I think it would go good with a steak or fish.
I’d buy it again.
This is an old brand. I’ve had it before a great many years ago. I wish I could say if it was any better or worse from those days but alas I cannot.
It’s an OK ale. I’ve had far better. It’s sold in a green bottle and for the life of me I can’t understand why any brewer would bottle their beer in a green glass bottle.
As soon as I opened it I could smell the skunk smell that is indicative of any beer bottled in green glass.
Fortunately the skunkiness was not in the taste.
As a beer geek I have to try all brands of beer. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give this a 5.
Founders Brewing. Based in Michigan.
I’m a fan of the Founders line of beers so when I saw this I decided to give it a try.
I usually don’t drink fruity beers but some are really good and I like raspberry so I bought the 4 pack.
Color is dark red and it has the raspberry taste. It’s a bit sweet for me. The malt flavor has trouble coming out.
It’s a well made ale but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this again other than for a specific purpose like having it with dessert or for cooking.
